So after my nice walk into town I eventually made it to the art shop and bought some new acrylics. Just three colours to start with: red, blue, yellow.
And when I got back to the studio, the first thing I did was set about testing them out … making a nice colour rectangle. My variation on a colour wheel.
I’m always amazed at the basic art maths of mixing colours. That with just a basic red, blue and yellow I can reach grassy greens, jewels of turquoise and amethyst, burning oranges and infinite variations in between. Such alchemy and magic!
